What to Expect from an in-house reference lab
Bridgewater Primary Care & Cardiology is a patient-centered practice that wants you to feel comfortable about all procedures related to your health. Our highly trained lab professionals will tend to your test as quickly as possible. The majority of our lab services are minimally invasive and will require a blood or urine sample. All of our lab services are performed on-site efficiently and quickly as possible. Once we have your results, Dr. Terzian or a member of our team will call you to review our findings and discuss if any follow-up tests are necessary. From there, Dr. Terzian will go over the best treatment options.
There are multiple types of lab tests, but the most common assessments include:
Complete blood count (CBC): This analysis measures the red and white blood cells and platelets of the blood. It is often used to evaluate a patient's overall health and nutritional status and screen for medical disorders.
Urinalysis: This is a very simple and most frequently performed diagnostic test. A small sample of urine is collected from the patient to complete a general health screening.
Basic metabolic panel: This is a blood test that measures blood sugar levels, electrolyte and fluid volume, and kidney function. It can also assess how certain medications are affecting the kidneys and electrolytes.
Cholesterol screening or lipid panel: This lab measures the amount of cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It can evaluate a patient's risk of heart disease and stroke.
Rapid strep: These quick turnaround tests show an active strep throat infection.
Rapid influenza: We can provide an almost instant test for influenza.
Bridgewater Primary Care & Cardiology Reviews
The Best Practice I've Ever Been To... Always Respectful And Never A Waiting Forever Too Be Seen In The Waiting Room...And Always The Best Care...
Dr. John and his care team is absolutely amazing. Dr. John listened to me and all of my concerns. He checked in with me and called me back when I had questions. He ran ALL the necessary tests to rule out different factors. He took his time and I’m forever grateful to him.
The doctor pays close attention to details in reference to the issues I was experiencing. I have had doctors the past that would ignore or completely dismiss the issues, this was a major positive experience with this doctor to say the least. As a matter of fact, I have told two different people about my experience with him. Thank you so much.
